Trump apparently requested that his presidential physician perform a cognitive exam on him during his annual physical exam. The exam used was the Montreal Cognitive Assessment, which is used to test for Alzheimer’s and dementia. The President received a perfect score, indicating that he is free of dementia. This result contradicts some recent speculation. Though some have questioned the rigor of the test, it has done its job. It has armed Trump against attacks on his mental fitness, and made removal via the 25th amendment much less likely.

Impeachable Offenses? 
Professor Bowman,
Your posting today makes me wonder if you are no longer objective in any matter that might indicate our current President should no longer hold his position. Your full acceptance of the show from the White House concerning 45’s first physical allows no other conclusion. If 45 requested the Montreal Cognitive Test (MCT), you can be certain he was directed to request it and, most assuredly, prepared to take it as if it were as important as his Presidential debate performances.
Should someone who scores 30 on the MCT be capable of answering questions
under oath in the Special Prosecutor’s Investigation of their knowledge and/or participation in collusion with Russians during the Presidential election by his campaign or family?
Our current principal resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue is so far outside of Presidential norms as to wonder if he could have passed the MCT last week at the time he was spewing comments about holes or houses in his efforts to change longstanding immigration policies in favor of more future Norwegian Americans.
I and I consider anything coming from the White House as propaganda for fools, or sideshows for suckers. This is sad because I and I consider you nether.

First of all thank you for your comment. Second of all, I, the author of the post upon which you are commenting, can not claim to be Professor Bowman. I am his research assistant, Samuel Crosby, and I am tasked with updating the blog on those days when Professor Bowman does not have time to write a more indepth analysis. I don’t discuss my posts with Professor Bowman, and it is entirely possible that he disagrees with, or would add more to, a number of the things I have written.
That being said, I will take it upon myself to respond to the subtance of your post. It seems that you are suggesting that I have accepted the validity of the cognitive test performed on Trump. That is true in a sense. I believe that Trump was administered a cognitive test for dementia, and that he passed that test, thereby indicating he is not demented. That being said, I am unsure whether the President would pass a more rigorous test, designed to spot declining mental function and/or personality disorders. However, I am not a psychologist. The point of my post was not to fully assess the President’s mental capacity, but rather to point out that with these results, Trump will have a defense against attempts to remove him via the 25th amendment for mental unfitness. I hope that makes things a little more clear.
